Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Whatcha Gonna Do?

Apparently crime is rampant at our house. First the vaseline, now the stamped concrete. Apparently it is VERY messy before they powerwash it and seal it. Throw in a dog, a visiting dog, a cat and a kid and you've got yourself a crime.

The crime:

*and yes, I posted this same story on the house blog www.daveandkerihouse.blogspot.com

Girl, Your Love Is Relentless

Okay, so the song title has nothing to do with this post, but I LOVE that song, and I just can't get it out of my head. So good.

So anyway, Nathan and Morgan See came a-visitin' this weekend, and we had a blast. It was so good to see them. And I think they have FINALLY forgiven me for not visiting while I was in Co/Mo 2 weekends ago...sorry again, guys.

They came Friday night and left Saturday night and it left me craving MORE SEES! I wish you guys lived within walking distance. Then the boys could play catch all the time. And watch sports. And play Wii. Fun.

Burn Baby Burn

Happy Birthday UNCLE KURT!!!!!!!!! We left a lovely message on your phone bright and early this morning, and I hope you liked it!! I was going to get her singing Happy Birthday on camera too, but didn't have time before I had to jet out the door. But here is Hallie singing "My Kenzie's" favorite song by Taylor Swift, Burn Baby Burn...or Burn...or Burn Baby? I really don't know. And I doubt Miss Hallie does either.

Enjoy!

Everybody's Working for the Weekend

What a wonderful weekend! Friday night, Bob, Janice & Brenda Witte came over to visit. It was so good to see them! Dave went golfing on Saturday morning, and then Bob and Brenda came over afterwards for pizza. The evening, we went to a nasty frog-legs, turtle and pond fish BBQ and then went fishing to celebrate our anniversary. We are uber-romantic like that :) It was a GORGEOUS night and we just had a good time being together. ***NOTE: "brenda" is actually BRANDON...but Hallie kept calling him Brenda. It was hysterical.

Dream a Little Dream for Me

Fresh out of the bath, in her nightgown. She loves wearing a nightgown, and when she walks, she watches her feet and "swishes" at the same time. So sweet.

Funny of the Day

(not a song title, I know)

I just received this email from my lovely SIL, Melissa, about Dave's experience at her house last night.

"I was outside and I hear him yelling at me with a little voice also yelling “lissa, I pooped” I yelled back and I heard “Help me, you don’t have a changing table –what do I do!! I go in and he has her standing in the bathtub with no pants on. I gave him a changing pad and put it on the floor with the wipes and then I had to leave because I was laughing so hard. It was quite a site."

Hee hee.

Just Another Day in Paradise

I'm going to start naming all of my blog post song names. Because that's a really cool thing to do, right? RIGHT?!

Not much to report. Hallie TOLD me this morning that she had to go potty...and then she did!!! On the potty! Major victory.

Last night eating popcorn with Daddy. We had such a nice, relaxing night last night. It's good to have Daddy home!

And here's a funny picture of Grandma Barb holding up a mirror while I took a picture of it (to see if I liked it). The picture was oh-so-flattering, so I decided to post it, since there's nothing else going on. I'm evil like that :)

Missing Missouri

We had a great time in Missouri. We stayed at Aunt Liz's beautiful new house, visited Alison & Adam Troutwine, Grandma Chronister, Grandma Perkins, Nana Jo & Papa Red. We got lots of shopping done and had an absolute blast. And now I'm going through Missouri Withdrawl. :(

Saturday morning, we went to Adam & Alison's gorgeous home. Adam entertained Miss Hallie while Alison and I caught up. It was so good to see them!

Then we went back down Rollins to Grandma Chronister's house...or as Hallie says, Grandma Con-ster. Cute. It was Grandma's birthday on the 9th, so we sang Happy Birthday and then Hallie blew out the candles.

We had a blast at Aunt Liz's house. Nell & Hallie hit it off, and we found lots of things to play with.

We left on Sunday morning to go to Grandma Perkin's house and visit. Nana Jo and Papa Red were there, and the time just went by too fast!

And this is what I came home to...flooding. It's hard to tell just how flooded the pond is, until you realize that the boats are where they normally are...but that is usually dry land. And the trees are not supposed to be in the water!

Baseball Buddies

Everyone knows it's not about watching the game (unless Eli is at bat...GO ELI!)...it's about the TREATS! It's about the RING POPS, Laffey Taffey, popsicles, etc. And of course, the socializing. Aren't they cute??

Potty Trying

Irma has started training Hallie, Kenzie and Addison. Three girls under three. She's brave. However, her efforts have paid off! Kenz is officially potty trained...YAY Kenzie! Addision is wearing big girls undies and is almost there! Hallie...well, she's going on the potty, but not all the time, and she doesn't tell us when she needs to go. But she's still going on the potty every morning and night at home, and then three-four times at Irma's house too. So we're making progress!

Burgo, Part II...the RIDES.

I still have to upload pictures of the kid games onto my computer, so this is really the second part of the Burgoo. Hallie could care less about food, the music, seeing people...she wanted to go on RIDES. And then would cry when she couldn't go on them over and over and over again. She went on a LOT, but always wanted to go on more. And her favorites were the ones that went the fastest!

The cars...

The rollercoaster....(with Ellie)

More cars...(with My Kenzie)

Hanging with the Grandmas...

Not featured...the dizzy dragons. Very dizzifying.
