An Illinois Christmas

We had a wonderful holiday. Busy, but wonderful. I'm going to try to give each Christmas equal attention, but since it takes so darn long to download picures, I'm going to break it up. Illinois vs Missouri. Ding Ding!

Christmas Eve started as it always does - Dollar Tree Shopping. It is a strange tradition that apparently started when Barb whined about not having anything in her stocking. Mike, Dave and Melissa took that as a personal challenge to purchase as much crap as possible for her to sort through. It has now morphed to an excursion with the original three, plus two in-laws and three grandkids. It is loud, chaotic and fun.

We met up later at Lucille's house for supper and to open gifts. It was loud, chaotic and fun.

Oh, Hallie:

Best buddies:

How cute is her Christmas dress??

We packed up and headed to Barb and Mike's house after that for even more Christmas fun. The kids had a ball.

Damn hairdryer:

Sick Papa:

Cute in her Christmas jammies.

Pile o' presents:

The next morning we opened gifts our house. Although Hallie was a bit worried that Santa was milling around the house while she slept, she was pretty excited about having even more presents to unwrap. Mike, Barb and Lucille came over for breakfast and we packed up to head to Missouri.

Fruit snacks in the stocking:

Poor Carl:

Ripping away:

Just what I always wanted!

Tomorrow...Missouri.

I love her face in that last picture! She's too cute! Oh, and Nora has a rock guitar and Buddy got a piano. They need to form a band. How cute would that be? Hmmm... maybe this is a job for photo shop?
