HAVE YOU EVER FELT LIKE YOU'VE KNOWN SOMEONE FOREVER?

because that's what it felt like. all weekend long.

those flw people, i tell you what. they are like family to dave. and now, they are like family to all of us.

my kids absolutely loved everyone that we met. kim and elmo especially.

it was a wonderful weekend. i came home feeling so happy. my kids were wonderfully miraculously well-behaved, although hallie never once shut up (charlie! you bit me - that really hurt!) and henry was oh-so loud.

but those are my kids. and kim, elmo, spanky and the gang loved them even more because of their craziness.

it was a really, really awesome weekend.

SOAKED. AND MORE TEEF. AND FRIENDS. AND SUCH.

this is how my morning started.

except it was pouring buckets when it happened.

but who cares?! because IT WAS POURING BUCKETS!

yee-haw!!! bring it!

in other news, hallie lost her other top tooth. it is pretty dang adorable. i never knew i wanted a kid with missing top teeth. she slurs her words and everything :)

(sorry, crawfords, she wouldn't pull it at your house!)

also, i went to a wedding that had donuts for the cake. and a chocolate fountain. and was at a winery. ftw.

and got to hang out with these peeps.
and this guy is home (until tomorrow, but who's counting?)
all caught up?

yes.

AND DON'T FORGET ABOUT DAVE.

dave and i are finally the same age again. woo-hoo!

he turned 31 on july 30 and we made it home in time to bake him a cake, wrap some presents and eat some fried chicken with family. it was a nice and laid back, which was perfect, because we were exhausted.

happy birthday, darling!

ALMOST CAUGHT UP.

having fridays off basically kills my blogging.

anyway.

friday/saturday night is the morgan county fair. it always falls on hallie's birthday weekend, which is nice because then dave is around. we went to the fair saturday after sound checks and he was able to ride rides with hallie.

and it was all fun and games until she barfed :). YEP - my "loves to ride rides" girl couldn't handle doing the elevator three times in a row. yikes.

we ran home, changed clothes and powered through for the rodney adkins show that night.

that's dedication.

GIRL, YOU MAKE MY SPEAKERS GO BOOM BOOM.

i really hate that one lyric of the song. but i looooove that song. and the "you got your hands up, you're rockin' in my truck. you've got the radio on, you're singing every song." you know that one? it's soooo good.

anyway, i got to see luke bryan perform at the sangamon county fair and he was fantastic.

and then hallie and i went back on saturday night to see josh turner and it was cancelled due to weather. suck-o. but, we still rode some rides with dave, see the opener (casey james) and hung out on the bus. good times.

it's nice when dave is doing fairs like this, close to home. we get to hang out with him and see some fun shows backstage too.

this is not dave, but pretend that it is. it's jeremy.

because this is what all of dave's pictures look like.

KERI VS WILDLIFE. AGAIN.

we found a snake in dave's truck.

and then hacked it to bits.

did you know that dave is terrified of snakes?

like, screams like a little girl, terrified.

and i hate them too. so it was pretty funny when we were dragging the seed bags out...one by one, one by one, waiting for this tiny snake to pop out. and at one point a walnut fell from the tree above the truck and made a loud BANG noise. and we both flipped out. it was hysterical in only-funny-after-the-fact sort of way.

ANATOMY OF A BUSY WEEKEND.

it was recital weekend - woo-hoo! (?)

it was long. it was hot. it was a hard weekend.

i'm glad it's over.

hallie says she doesn't want to do dance anymore. we'll take the summer off and see how she feels in the fall. she was the cutest (and smallest!) one out there. so cute.

this little boy is my favorite in a white onsie. but he too had a hard weekend. teething is no joke and when you add a little cold on top, well, he certainly was off his game on saturday. like, way off his game.

he did manage to stay busy by knocking all of the magnets off of the refrigerator and playing some rockin' piano. oh, and he hung out on grandma chronister's lap quite a bit too.

finally, with recitals over we had memorial day to relax on chad and melissa's boat and get majorly sunburned. ouch. big time, ouch.

the girls had so much fun. we all did. it was a great way to end the weekend.
