Seriously?

Can you believe that some people don't want to be put on a blog for the entire Internet world to see?

Weird.

Oh well. I will totally respect their wishes.

Sunday Video.

Another installment of my weekly Sunday video.

What? I've never done this before?

Welcome to the first installment of my weekly feature: Sunday Video!

It probably won't last.

FOUND: Camera

Whew!

Here you go! Freshly downloaded pictures from our super exciting trip to UPS with Daddy!

We mostly hung out in the truck.

Hey mom! These brown flips aren't really doing it for me anymore. Time for a wardrobe change!

Seriously, look at that face:

The Day I Have Been Waiting For.

I woke up before 6.

I didn't have to. I wanted to. W-A-N-T-E-D. See, I have able to have 20 minutes every morning this week to drink my coffee, checking email, eat a piece of zucchini bread (yum!) and just...enjoy the morning before I head off to a meeting that was too early to go to work first, and late enough that I can chill out in the morning. Bliss.

No running frantically to get a wrinkled shirt in the dryer. No huffing and puffing trying to get my hair dry. No yelling at child or husband because they want a tiny sliver of my attention and I AM RUNNING LATE TO WORK, PEOPLE! (just kidding about that last part. maybe).

So last night, as I was trying to fall asleep sans husband, I thought I might try getting up before six to accomplish the same sort of thing.

And I did.

And I love it.

PS - I may or may not have lost my camera. If you see it, don't tell Dave, just bring it home.

Bread Pictures.

Finally.

Nice, huh?

(sorry for the boring post. I took cute pictures of our UPS-excursion yesterday, but switched purses and forgot the camera. SORRY!)

Comin' at you from the Homefront.

(I'm really not sure which of those words should be capitalized in the title. Betsy - a little help?)

I have the joy this morning of blogging from home. I have an early meeting at JHS, and am sitting at my dining room table, windows open, in my robe (gasp!), drinking a cup of coffee and blogging. Life is divine.

I missed my blog posting yesterday becaues of MORE meetings. And since I know you are DYING to hear about my mixer, well....here goes:

It's everything a girl could want. Do you recall the post where I sucked at bread? Well, no more my friend. I have battled with bread for the last time.

Feast (ha!) your eyes -

Oops! Nevermind! I don't have the pictures on this computer. Drat. You'll just have to pretend.

One of my loaves was perfection. Gorgeous crust, fluffy inside, just...perfect. The other would have been perfect had I not accidentally knocked it on the over rack when putting it into bake.

You could hear the psssssssttt as it deflated, along with my hopes. Hey - it still tasted good!

I do have a few pictures of the Ginger Molasses Cookies. Barb had two. TWO! (looks like poop, but I promise, they turned out yummy!)

Whoops! Blogger doesn't want to upload pictures this morning.

Oh.

Well.

Have a great day!

Date Night.

Wait...is it still considered a date night if your husband doesn't attend?

Anyway.

Date night was pretty awesome. Friends + Movie = a very fun time.

Pre-date night was pretty awesome too. I helped myself to some wine before whipping up some organic mac 'n cheese right out of the box. Classy.

Top that with some wide-open windows, chairs with blueberry finger stains, and a slightly grouchy (but easy to cheer up) daughter and you've got a winner. Oh yeah, and I made some no-bake cookies too - YUM.

And let's not forget ole crazy eye Zoey:

Boo.

Dear Dave,

I know you are just as disappointed as we (me & Hal) are that you are extending your stay (unwillingly) at the Mo. State Fair.

Did you tear up a bit when you were telling me the news just now?

No?

Oh. Me neither.

Love,

Lonely Wife

A Million Down, Four to Go.

Dear Dave,

It's been so long since we've seen you (okay, since Sunday), that we've almost forgotten what you look like. So we looked you up:

Ah, yes. Now we remember!

Anyway, we had friends over last night. I'm sorry you missed out on such a fun time. I promise if you come home soon we will let you play Candyland with us! And Hungry Hippos!

5 More Days.

Dear Dave,

We had fun without you last night. See?

One of us watched cartoons on our bed,

while the other one made chicken nachos:

Then, someone decided they wanted to help:

No, take pictures:

No, watch more cartoons:

And look! Zoey!

And it felt like fall, so I lit a candle.

The End. (miss you)

Me Again.

I'm just so darned excited.

I purchased this today (WAY onsale):

KitchenAid Pictures, Images and Photos

And if you knew how badly I have wanted one, then you won't be surprised. What may surprise you though, is how my husband was perfectly fine with me purchasing my new-favorite-thing-ever.

I must have caught him in a wonderful mood. That, or he wants something for himself...

Hmm.

Countdown.

Dear Dave,

You will be home in 6 days (not counting today). Are you as excited as we are?

Take Your Family to Work Day

We took a little drive to the Missouri State Fair to visit Dave. Of course my camera's battery died, but not before I took a few pictures of the exciting time we had.

Kidding.

We really did have a good time. Hal slept great, and enjoyed dancing at the show. We checked out the animals the next day and she LOVED seeing a REAL Kangeroo.

Really?

Did you know that at age 3, your toddler can wear a gown at the doctor's office?Because they are soooo modest at that age.

(they sure do look cute though)
