i tried to write a blog post this morning. it was just going to be pictures.
sadly enough, i got a message from blogger that i was out of memory for my photos.
what?!
so i can either pay to upgrade the storage space, no thank you, or i can move providers, sure, okay.

You can upload your pictures to a site like flicr or picasa and link to them instead of uploading them directly to blogger! those site provide code you can just copy and paste into your blog...really easy.
Also--I had no idea there was a limit on pics (or how I haven't reached it yet...). I will have to investigate!
This happened to me about a year ago. I just opened a new blogger account and added my new account to my blog. Everything stays the same... I just have new login info.
